Lakewave Sound ("we") rents party speakers in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. This policy explains what information we collect through lakewavesound.com and when you rent from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Booking details: your name, mobile number, email if you give it, delivery address, dates, event type, guest count and any notes you add.
• Your signature record: the name you type to agree to our terms, the date and time, and your connection (IP) address.
• Email list: your email address if you join our list, for example to get a discount code.
• Payment records: what you paid, how you paid and your deposit status. We do not collect or store card numbers on this website.
• Messages and photos: texts and emails between us, and photos of the gear before and after a rental, which may show the place it was set up.
• Saved on your device: your browser may remember your unfinished booking form and whether you closed our offer pop-up. This stays on your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

2. How we use it

• To answer your request, confirm your booking, deliver and pick up the gear, and collect payment and handle your deposit.
• To text or email you about your booking, such as confirmations, reminders and return times.
• To send marketing emails if you joined our email list.
• To keep business and tax records, prevent spam and abuse, and settle any damage or payment issue.

3. Text messages

When you give us your mobile number on a booking, we may text you about that booking. We only send marketing texts if you have separately agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or HELP for help. You can also contact us using the details below.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text consent with third parties for their marketing. Service providers that help us run our texting may process your number only to deliver our messages.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it as needed to run the business:

• Service providers: Cloudflare (website hosting and data storage), OpenStreetMap Nominatim (looks up your delivery address to set the delivery fee), ntfy (phone alerts to us about new requests) and our phone and email providers.
• Payment services: if you pay with Venmo, Cash App or a card link, that company handles the payment under its own privacy policy.
• Legal reasons: when the law requires it, to protect our rights or gear, or if the business is sold or transferred.

5. Cookies, analytics and ads

This website does not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. If we add tools such as ad pixels or analytics to measure our marketing, we will update this policy before using them. If you interact with our pages on Facebook or another platform, that platform's own privacy policy applies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them for the business and for tax records. We keep email list addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

7. Your choices

• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Texts: reply STOP. We may still contact you another way about an active rental.
• Your information: contact us to see, correct or delete it. We may need to keep some records for tax, legal or open-rental reasons.

8. Security

We use secure connections and a password-protected owner portal. No website or service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

9. Children

Our rentals are for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date below.
